Industrial 1.0

This is the stalk (or arm) that mounts the right motorcycle mirror to the fairing.  The original shot shows some digital noise.  I converted it to B&W which solved the noise problem AND made the photo much better (in my humble opinion).


Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM lens
Exposure 1/30 sec @ f9 (Aperture Priority)
ISO 800 (and now you know why it was noisy)
Curves adjusted

I really enjoy B&W of precise machined components; Especially those found on something like a fine piece of metal such as a BMW.

I think with that macro lens, you will get some amazing shots.

I was just thinking about maybe a photo of the chain..then...HA!

...nevermind....

BMW does make bikes with chains. The F800GS is one. Other F800 (S and ST) are belt driven.
