I shot this on the way to work this morning. It was cloudy so the colors are not that vibrant. It also would have helped if I had the 18-55mm lens instead of the zoom.

Farewell Emily ...
Farewell beloved Emily!
Our faithful Miniature Schnauzer, Emily, was laid to rest last Wednesday. She was only seven and a half years old. She became ill about six weeks ago and the Vet indicated that she was suffering from Kidney Failure from unknown origin. She will be greatly missed.

Emily was not impressed with our Christmas decorations!
HEAVEN'S DOGGY-DOOR
My best friend closed his eyes last night,
As his head was in my hand.
The Doctors said he was in pain,
And it was hard for him to stand.
The thoughts that scurried through my head,
As I cradled him in my arms.
Were of his younger, puppy years,
And OH...his many charms.
Today, there was no gentle nudge
With an intense "I love you gaze",
Only a heart thats filled with tears
Remembering our joy filled days.
But an Angel just appeared to me,
And he said, "You should cry no more,
GOD also loves our canine friends,
HE's installed a 'doggy-door"!

Great Egret
I visited the Bombay Hook Wildlife Refuge (via motorcycle, of course) on 17-April and had the opportunity to take a few photos. I'll post them as I get time.
This is a Great Egret getting ready for lunch.

Fice? (fog from ice)
We’ve had a couple of rainy days and after the rain cleared out, it cooled off and there was frost on everything this morning. Once the sun came up, it was converting the ice to fog.
55mm Focal Length,
Exposure 1/250 @ f8.0
ISO 200
This was particularly interesting as you can see the steam/fog coming off the bark.
