Calm before the storm

So we're expecting major snow tomorrow.  Yee Haw!  I love snow!  We might actually have snow for Christmas, a rarity in these parts!  I live North and West of Philadelphia and storm predictions around here are usually wrong.  They seem confident that we'll get 'a bunch'.  I'm looking forward to getting out to Peace Valley Park tomorrow and/or Sunday to get some shots.  I was there today and had a lot of fun, which I'll be sharing soon!  I have a weather station and the bottom of this blog posts the current conditions.

I originally called this post 'Christmas Ornaments', but I decided with the expected snow, calm before the storm was more appropriate.

One of the Christmas balls from out tree.  I like the shadows and reflected colors.

I thought this translucent snowflake looked cool with a backlight.

Nice photos! I'm looking forward to your photos from the coming snowfall.

I like snow, too, but I graduate tomorrow and have to drive about 2.5 hours south to get home to the York area. I'm prayin' the worst of it holds off until me and my family are all back home.

The snowflake is awesome. I thought the bulb was a disco light when I opened my blog page to look a photos, you know when they are small pictures. Great stuff.

I love the soft hues of the rainbow colours captured here.

Very nice.

I was outside with the dog at 2am, and it was snowing lightly, but within minutes it stopped. Here near Broad/Sumneytown in Lansdale nothing yet!

Beautiful shot full of Christmas feeling! I love decorating the Christmas tree and putting all kind of lights and candles everywhere. And we are having more snow before Christmas, that's something to celebrate after 2-3 black years.
