Air Force One

I'm fortunate to have my own office at work.  It doesn't have a nice view's like Dot's office, but it does overlook Willow Grove Naval Air Station.  President Obama planned to visit Arcadia University today and Air Force One landed at Willow Grove.  Photo-op!!

Helicopter sweep of the runway prior to arrival.

Approach of AF1.  Often, planes approach from the opposite end of the runway, which is where I'm located.  If they approach from my end, I usually get a better shot.  Maybe I can get a photograph when they depart.

You can make out AF1 through the trees from the Commonwealth National Golf Club, which surrounds the facility where I work.  The tail is fairly easy to see.

Just about 2 hours later, time to go home!

That's pretty neat and not a very easy shot to get.

Only a two-hour stop? That was kind of a really short visit, perhaps only for coffee or a tea?
God bless you!

James,

I'm lucky, I shot this from my office window. His exit path took him fairly close to my home, but he would have been to high to get a good shot.

Léia,

He stopped to give a speech at Arcadia University.

I added a label to my blog to tag the photos I took at Arcadia this past November. It's a beautiful school.

Wow, that was a lot bigger than I expected the plane to be! A much blue-er (is that a word?). Good job by you having that camera ready... and having an office! ;-)

Actually, the girl in this photo works in the Admissions Office at one of the local colleges.
