White Flower

I shot this on a foggy morning. It's a pod that is going to blossom into a flower. I increased the black clipping in Lightroom to darken the background. It really makes the pod 'pop'.

Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM lens
Exposure 1/250 sec @ f2.8 (Aperture Priority)
ISO 200
Curves adjusted.

Once the pod opens, you get this!

I really like how you've managed to get the droplets on the bud to be so clear, which just enhances the 'pop' of the white bud against the dark background.

Thanks Marka. A friend suggested shooting this again with a larger aperture to give it more detail. We have plenty of dew these cool fall mornings, so I'l give it a try.
