Lavender

Among the variety of flowers we have in the yard, we have a lavender plant.  I thought this was an interesting shot.

I took a shot of one of the single stems of the plant, attempting to 'compose' a shot and not have the object dead-center with a lot of empty space above the subject.

This lavender looks lonely. Is it blooming still in October?

PS. I like the upper picture too, it's a great macro!

Marilla,

Thanks, I like the upper photo very much. Yes, the Lavender is still in bloom! I took these shots 11-October. We have had a frost since then, so I'm not sure if they're still living.
