Pilgrim Bell

I want to thank James for his most recent 'Weekend Reflection'.  It was a BLAST!  I visited many new blogs and saw some amazing photographs from all over the world.

This is shot of the Pilgrim Bell at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.  I set the exposure on the bright spot in the sky, then moved to the focus to the bell.  The second shot tells the story of the bell.

Canon EF-S 10-22mm f3.5-4.5 USM lens

Exposure 1/400 sec @ f11

The mood is simply mysterious. Good use of such wide angle lens!

Thanks all. This shot was taken during my first visit to Whitemarsh Memorial Park. I've driven by it many times, but never visited, because I don't normally visit cemeteries unless I know someone buried there. Whitemarsh is different than any other cemetery I've visited in that there are no headstones. Everyone has a bronze plaque or are in a mausoleum. Lot of wide open expanses and statues. I should be posting other shots soon.
