1/6 of a second?! Looks sharp but check out that Auto-ISO setting in the menus. I hear Canon has a better one than Nikon. (Based on focal length, not just exposure alone)
The selective black and white settings in Lightroom might help put focus on the tree, at the expense(or not) of it being a B&W.

Yup, 1/6 second. What happened was I fixed the ISO at 100 for some reason. It could have been accidental, I've had that happen. Had it been set to Auto, the shutter would have have been much quicker.
Thanks for the suggestion for Lightroom. I'll give it a shot.

The great composition outweighs the somewhat drab colors. Did you try playing with saturation to get more pizazz?
