Motorcycle Reflections

This is a reflection off my motorcycle fairing. The two parallel strips to the right are the oil fill plug.  To the left, the cylinder is reflecting off the fairing of the bike.

I vacillated on monotone for this, but by doing so, removed the cool color wave in the fairing.  You can see a planter that is outside the garage to the left of the cylinder reflection.  This is my offering for Weekend Reflections #29.

Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM lens
Exposure 1/160 sec @ f2.8
ISO 100
Curves adjusted for contrast

Great capture! I like the stuff in the photo though I don't understand a thing. ;D

PS. I took my 21 years old bicycle out of its winter shield and one of our neighbours said that he hasn't seen so old bikes for years. Yee yee...

Interesting. Something about this makes me think it is ready to take flight!

Really like this, but then what's not to like about a motorcycle?

Thanks for the visit and comment on my weekend reflection post.

I'm glad you explained it. The cylinder actually looks like it extends all the way across. Very nice.

Interesting reflection! I saw your comment on Carolyn's blog about the boulder in the lake. Yosemite was formed by the glaciers during the ice age. Some boulders were left when the ice melted; others still occasionally fall from the mountains to find a new spot on the valley floor.

Pretty cool reflection to notice, Wayne. I especially like all the solid lines, too.

Thank goodness you explained what this is, or I wouldn't have known what I was looking at! Very artsy shot — I like it.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

This was a very elegant composition. I'm glad you told me what it was - I would never have guessed. Close-ups and macros are fun!

This is really cool. The more I use the 50mm lens the more I like it. I really want to get a faster zoom lens now.
